“Improvement of mobility, traffic safety and environmental protection by planning Saimaa Canal bypass road to BCP "Brusnichnoye"The project “Improvement of mobility, traffic safety and environmental protection by planning Saimaa Canal bypass road to BCP "Brusnichnoye" is based on the main outcomes of the previous stage project “Designing a feasibility study of locating a road alignment of a new road from the federal highway A181 “Scandinavia” to the “Brusnichnoye” border crossing point”. The aim of the Project is to prepare site planning project. It is planned to implement project with grant provided by cross-border cooperation programme “South-East Finland – Russia” 2014-2020. The Directorate acts as a Lead partner in the interests of the Leningrad Region. The project partner is the Finnish Transport Agency.
Project status: The project proposal has been approved for funding by “South-East Finland – Russia” CBC 2014-2020. It is planned to conclude Grant-contact up to the end of 2020.Also, the project has gone the procedure of ranking within the process of inclusion in Comprehensive Plan for the modernization and expansion of trunk infrastructure for the period up to 2024.
