In November contractor finished the first step within the project ‘Improvement of mobility, traffic safety and environmental protection by planning Saimaa Canal bypass road to BCP “Brusnichnoye”.
The engineering investigation for site planning documentation have been done and accepted by Directorate to date. Thus, contractor collected baseline data, prepared and got approvals for engineering investigation programs, got work permit in forest area. Besides, the approvals from engineering networks owners were received. As a result four technical reports (geodesic, geological, hydro-meteorological, ecological investigations) were presented.
At the moment contractor is about to start second step works, that should be done until 1st November, 2022. It is planned based on the engineering investigations to prepare and then to approve with regional and municipal authorities project of site planning and project of land demarcation. Finally, the Government of Leningrad Region will provide the order of site planning documentation approval.
Also the necessary work was done during the first step: contractor measured the intensity of traffic flows for perspective road that gives possibility to get object data about transport distribution and define “attraction zone” for the road.
Project Improvement of mobility, traffic safety and environmental protection by planning Saimaa Canal bypass road to BCP “Brusnichnoye” is implemented by the Directorate since April 2021 in collaboration with Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency and Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of the South-East Finland with financial support from the South-East Finland – Russia CBC Programme 2014-2020.
The project is funded 80% by the grant and co-financed from the budget of Leningrad region.
