Project Description:

The project “Improvement of mobility, traffic safety and environmental protection by planning Saimaa Canal bypass road to BCP "Brusnichnoye" is based on the main outcomes of the previous stage project “Designing a feasibility study of locating a road alignment of a new road from the federal highway A181 “Scandinavia” to the “Brusnichnoye” border crossing point”. The aim of the Project is to prepare site planning project. It is planned to implement project with grant provided by cross-border cooperation programme “South-East Finland – Russia” 2014-2020. The Directorate acts as a Lead partner in the interests of the Leningrad Region. The project partner is the Finnish Transport Agency. Project status: Application for grant receiving is submitted and considered by Management Authority of CBC Programme. The decision of the awards will be made in June 2020.
