Construction of the cycle path in Svetogorsk is about to begin

On the 19th of August, a new stage of the project «Cycling» implementation began: Acting Director General of the Directorate Irina Gerun, Mayor of the City of Svetogorsk Sergey Davydov and Director General of LLC «Terriсon» Kirill Ort signed the contract for construction of the cycle path in Svetogorsk.

LLC «Terriсon» became a successful tenderer as a result of evaluation of tenders, which was completed on the 13th of August.

Construction of the cycle path will begin soon, once the contractor obtains all the necessary approvals from relevant authorities for completion of works in the border area. Besides construction of the cycle path, the works include repair of bridges across Unterniska river and Gryazny stream, installation of outdoor lighting, organization of the rest area for cyclists close to the BCP «Svetogorsk» and etc. All these elements are essential for comfortable and safe cycling along the route.

Cyclists will be able to use the new infrastructure starting the next cycling season because it is planned that all the works in Svetogorsk will be completed by July, 2021.
