III Annual Conference «Transport Infrastructure of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region»

On behalf of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation I would like to invite you to the III Annual Conference “Transport Infrastructure of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region“, which proved itself as a respected platform for open discussion for representatives of state authorities, business and expert community on the issues of strategic development of urban agglomeration transport system.
This is a significant for the development of North-West region event, facilitating the formation of initiatives, the implementation of which will contribute to the innovation potential of transport industry, as well as to the raise of its competitiveness. Conference plays a role of a step to the search of the most effective solutions in the sphere of development and improvement of comfortable conditions for life in the region. It’s important to gather for discussion all the interested parties, because a comprehensive discussion will stimulate the elaboration of effective measures for overcoming the existing problems and will promote the formulation of transport system of Russian Federation development plans.
Today we should enforce the introduction of innovative technologies, modern logistics and management systems, formation of important multi-modal hubs, development of transit potential, creation of sustainable transport links between the regions of Russian Federation, active usage of PPP instruments in transport sphere with consideration of efficiency and best practice of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region projects. I’m sure the conference will support the best traditions of holding events under aegis of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation and will help to find out the effective solution of extremely important goal – provision of sustainable development of St. Petersburg transport hub, as one of the top-priority projects of Russia’s transport system development.
